I serve clients in civil and criminal matters, and provide ethics support and defense to attorneys statewide. I limit the number of clients I represent at any one time to ensure that I can provide the client experience I would want to enjoy to every client I engage with.
I have provided criminal and litigation services since 2002, and have provided ethics support and defense since 2012.
In 2019, I left private practice to serve as Special Bar Counsel to the Maine Board of Overseers of the Bar, providing ethics support to attorneys, and prosecuting grievances when necessary. In 2021, I became the Executive Director of the Maine Commission on Indigent Legal Services, overseeing the provision of Constitutionally mandated counsel state-wide, and shepherding that agency through a transformation to a state-of-the-art indigent defense system.
Through my private practice, my work for the Board of Overseers of the Bar, and my time as an agency head, I was fortunate to develop excellent litigation skills, the ability to negotiate the most difficult cases, and the perspective to know which skills to deploy to support each client.
In 2023, I returned to private practice. Today I serve a selection of clients from my office in Bath, working diligently to obtain the best possible outcome for each.
